A Most Eggcellent Weekend
This Easter weekend we got to celebrate with the Hathaways. They came down for their spring break. We started off with a day at the new swim center in Mcminnville. Although it was packed to the gills with people, we had a fun time floating in the wave pool and the girls enjoyed the kiddie area and slides.
On Saturday we colored Easter eggs together and we go to do it outside. That's a first for us here in Oregon (mind you it only took 15 years to be possible). Next we headed over to Tom's Dad's house for a BBQ with the family and an egg hunt and games again it was so nice to be able to do it all outside.
Sunday we settled for a simple Easter dinner of what else but ham and potatoes with a few sides. The girls got to wear their new Easter dresses and we tried to get a family picture while we all looked semi-decent after church. We realized the only family pic we had of us last year was one with us all in Halloween costumes. Unfortunately there was a smudge on the camera we weren't aware of so they came out all blurry. Oh well, better luck next time. Here's a few pics highlighting our weekend.
I know it's not a great pic, but it will do for now.
Here's a little project the kids enjoyed doing the other day. I got the idea from here.
The girls had fun mixing their own colors
It was nice to spend some time outside before the rain returned again. I'm looking forward to more projects like this during summer.
