We spent the rest of the time down south near San Diego.

First we spent some time in Los Angeles with Aunt Vivien and Uncle Bob. We weren't there for long, but while there we visited the Griffith Park Observatory and learned all about our solar system and visited lots of restaraunts. Tom's sister Liz had fun driving down Hollywood BLVD.

Our road trip to California was fun. We spent a lot of time in the car and probably crammed way too much into one week, but we took time to step out of the car and enjoy the beach, zoo, and family. All the time together did make us a little crazy. Jessie did great and got to know lots of new family members. She loved the beach and kicked and screamed when we tried to take her away.

We had a great time when Uncle Jared came for a visit.

These shots are from camping at Lost Lake a few weeks ago. It was a little chilly, but we managed to pass the time hiking, eating eating eating, attempting to use a paddle boat, and enjoying the beautiful view. Jessie got to know Uncle Scott and really took a liking to him.

Jessie is now ONE! Her first of many birthday parties was a hit. It included two frog cakes, burgers and hotdogs, too many presents and lots of family. Besides taking a brief intermission to wash green frosting out of her hair all went well and she seemed to enjoy herself, ofcourse her parents forgot the camera so this is all we have for now. Stay tuned for more B-day photos.

Hopefully you'll get as much of a kick out of this hat as we have.
