The Sweetest Words...

The other day my daughter Jessie came up to me, wrapped her arms around me, and said "Mommy, I love you." Instantly in that moment I was wrapped around her little finger. I would've read her the same book 50 times, or sang itsy bitsy spider until hoarse. If she destroyed her hair that I'd spent 10 minutes doing, I wouldn't even flinch. I would've given her a breakfast of cookies and milk and refrained from rolling my eyes at yet another early morning wake up. Yes, at that moment I was at her mercy. I wonder... how long before she realizes the power those words have on a mother??
